Job Description
SEO and content specialist growing Seeking.com, a premium dating platform, across traditional search and AI answer engines. Writing, publishing, optimizing pages, and coordinating organic growth partners.
Responsibilities:
- Edit HTML and CMS templates directly to implement on-page SEO best practices, including title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchy, schema, structured data, internal linking, image alt text, and clean URL structure
- Run routine technical SEO health checks and fix issues or coordinate fixes
- Maintain WordPress-based properties including the Seeking blog, STNDRDS, and adjacent brands
- Implement structured data, schema markup, and entity tagging for search engines and AI answer engines
- Write, edit, and publish blog posts, landing pages, FAQs, category pages, and pillar hubs
- Maintain the editorial calendar across owned channels and align it with campaigns, launches, and cultural moments
- Identify content gaps, refresh opportunities, and topical authority angles and turn them into published assets
- Develop entity-driven content strategies for AI-generated answers and citations
- Run keyword research, intent expansion, and competitive discovery analysis using GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
- Optimize content for AI Overviews, Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and LLM-powered discovery surfaces
- Coordinate external agency and freelance partners, including timelines, feedback loops, deliverables, scope, and quality checks
- Track and report KPIs including organic traffic, rankings, indexation, engagement, and AI-search visibility
- Translate performance data into next-cycle priorities and flag risks to internal teams
- Partner with Creative, Brand, Product, Legal, Data & Analytics, and other marketing functions
- Support ad hoc organic growth initiatives such as reputation and review monitoring
Requirements:
- Hands-on SEO and content experience at a consumer brand, ideally a consumer subscription, marketplace, mobile-first, dating, or social platform
- Published work and measurable results demonstrating organic growth impact
- Working fluency in HTML and CSS sufficient to make direct on-page SEO edits in a CMS
- Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, keyword research, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and structured data
- Strong writing and editing skills across blog, landing page, FAQ, and category content
- Working fluency in AEO and GEO, including schema markup, structured data, brand-entity strategy, and AI answer engine citations
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Search Console, and at least one paid SEO platform such as SEMrush or Ahrefs
- Working knowledge of WordPress and light front-end fluency for HTML, CSS, and component-level changes
- Daily AI-tool fluency using ChatGPT, Claude, Cowork, or similar for research, drafting, structuring, and QA
- Ability to audit Seeking’s search and AI visibility, identify issues, and ship fixes quickly
- Ability to deliver work on time, maintain tight QA, keep naming and metadata clean, and document work
- SEO & Content Specialist: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in SEO, content, or organic growth
- SEO & Content Strategist: 4 to 7+ years of hands-on experience in SEO and content
- Strategist-level experience leading organic growth programs, setting discovery roadmaps, driving editorial calendars, directing agencies, mentoring, and optimizing for zero-click results, featured snippets, AI Overviews, and answer-engine citations
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered
- Portfolio of published SEO or content work with measurable results
- Experience with agency partnerships or day-to-day vendor management
- Experience supporting CMS migrations, particularly from WordPress to automated or AI-native publishing stacks
- Familiarity with structured AEO/GEO programs
- Exposure to reputation and review programs such as Trustpilot, Glassdoor, and app stores
- Interest in dating, lifestyle, or consumer subscription brands
