Job Description
ServiceNow Developer configuring and integrating ITSM platforms for GDIT, a technology and professional services company serving government, defense, and intelligence missions. Supporting automation, upgrades, security, and enterprise solutions remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Configure Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management
- Manage users, groups, and foundational data structures
- Design custom roles, security rules, and granular ACLs
- Build workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes
- Connect ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Process Managers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Groom user stories and translate business needs into technical designs
- Partner with technical stakeholders, architects, and product owners on solution design and platform governance
- Estimate relative work effort to enable prioritization
- Support platform upgrade cycles, instance cloning, and Automated Test Framework execution
- Stay current on new ServiceNow platform capabilities
- Configure, develop, support, and maintain the ServiceNow implementation
- Work with external development partners and stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1+ year of related experience
- Technical training, certification(s), or degree required
- Understanding of ITSM framework, application design, ITIL processes, and SDLC practices
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum requirements gathering
- Knowledge of contextual security, roles, and ACL debugging
- Ability to tailor forms, views, UI policies, and user settings
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and Glide APIs
- Experience connecting ServiceNow with external APIs using REST and SOAP
- Ability to solve moderately complex problems, analyze and escalate difficult issues, and serve as a team escalation point
- Ability to peer review work, compose knowledge articles, and contribute meeting artifacts
- Ability to lead small team tasks and initiatives, work effectively with peers, and participate in peer mentoring
- Ability to recommend process changes, drive value and service delivery, and contribute proactive ideas
- Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification required
- US citizenship not required
