Job Description
Leidos Airport Site Lead providing technical and project management support for TSA deployments at federal airports. Overseeing project lifecycle management with extensive travel requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project planning, coordination and technical advice to facilitate checkpoint security screening equipment installations, removals, and relocations
- Keep the CP DC informed on project progress and issues to avoid negative impacts to schedule, cost, and/or performance
- Inform the CP DC and the TSA Design Team of any new airport/airline projects
- Conduct site surveys of potential projects
- Coordinate, monitor and report project schedule activities and execution between stakeholders
- Assess progress against the project schedule and report any variances that may create risk to schedule, cost, or performance of the project’s critical path
- Ensure equipment request order forms are created or updated once project scope is finalized
- Provide on-site support during the delivery and removal of screening equipment
- Ensure completion of decommission checklist by the OEM technician at the time of decommission
- Support scheduling activities for testing activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience or Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience
- Three (3) years of Project Management experience, two (2) years of which occurred in an airport
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager (preferably construction management) with on-time, on-budget projects
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders on a single project
- Experience in planning and the formulation of design alternatives and solutions for construction projects
- Management experience on work performed by field staff and sub-contracting firms
- Experience in resolving compliance issues with federal, state, and local authorities on design specifications
- Thorough understanding of airport construction practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities
- Familiarity with the Checkpoint Requirements and Planning Guide (CRPG) for Checkpoint operations
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a cross-functional team
