Job Description
Video editor creating and optimizing German social content for VaynerMedia, a global creative media agency. Editing platform-native videos and improving performance across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
Responsibilities:
- Create content that makes impactful connections with consumers, measured by high attention metrics such as views, likes, and comments
- Serve as an algorithm-fluent editor with expertise in hooks, pacing, structure, and retention across social platforms
- Own DJ-ing, remixing, and optimizing content to drive scalable performance
- Tune performance and platform success through continuous optimization and creative iteration
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished final videos optimized for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Stay current with platform algorithms, emerging formats, creator trends, and editing techniques
- Participate in ideation and contribute ideas
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional departments on rapid-fire requests and tight timelines
- Attend creative brainstorms, kickoffs, and team meetings
- Mentor Creators, Art Directors, and Copywriters on best practices, ideation, execution, and performance optimization
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of professional creative experience across media platforms
- Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in advertising, digital media, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Content creation skills from start to finish, including video and motion design
- Responsible, accountable, self-starter who demonstrates initiative
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Must be authorized to work in Germany
