Job Description
Social Media Strategist developing comprehensive strategies for Men in Blazers Media Network's content. Engaging audiences and overseeing content creation for social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the media network's goals, including content pillars, platform selection, and audience targeting, particularly as it relates to Premier League weekend.
- Lead development of additional brand verticals and net-new content accounts to promote continual brand growth.
- Oversee the creation of engaging content (videos, graphics, copy).
- Operate in an always-on capacity, leading on Premier League soccer coverage during weekend hours.
- Monitor social media analytics, analyze campaign performance, and provide reports with actionable insights to optimize strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
- Stay updated on emerging social media trends, pop culture, and new platforms to identify opportunities and keep content relevant.
- Constantly evaluate and brief the MiB social team on the changing nature of platform best practices and algorithms.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a social media management or strategy role, preferably within sports or entertainment
- Mastery of major social media platforms and how to leverage their unique features
- An unresting passion for the game of soccer, and an understanding of the history of the game
- Ability to connect social media activity to larger business goals and translate them into effective plans.
- Understanding of SEO, web traffic metrics, and other digital marketing principles to inform social strategies.
- Proficiency in creating or directing the creation of visual and written content for various social platforms.
- Ability to interpret data to measure success, understand audience behavior, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with audiences and collaborate effectively with internal teams (design, content) and external partners (influencers, vendors).
