Job Description
Content & Social Media Editor Intern filming and editing content for WorldWinner's social media. Engaging with gaming trends and managing performance data across platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Appear on camera to film organic and ad-style content: talking head, gameplay commentary, challenge formats, and more
- Film short-form video content independently using your phone or provided equipment
- Edit video content for use across social platforms (bonus points if you're already good with CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve)
- Support WorldWinner's organic social calendar across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X (Twitter)
- Understand platform-specific best practices and tailor content accordingly. Reels vs. TikToks vs. Shorts are not the same thing
- Write captions, scripts, and on-screen text that match WorldWinner's brand voice
- Stay ahead of gaming and social trends and bring proactive ideas to the team
- Support collection and organization of performance data from each social platform on a weekly basis
- Track key metrics: reach, impressions, engagement rate, video views, follower growth, and link clicks
- Identify what is working and what is not, and bring recommendations to the team
- Build and maintain a simple content performance tracker
- Participate in the content briefing process from idea to approved brief to published post
- Use our brief templates to align creative direction, messaging, and platform specs before production begins
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external creators on deliverables and timelines
- Help maintain a content calendar and ensure posts go out on time
Requirements:
- You love gaming. Casual or competitive, mobile or PC, it doesn't matter. You just get it.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X as a creator, not just a viewer
- Understands what makes content perform on each platform and can adapt accordingly.
- Comfortable on camera. You don't need to be a professional, but you need to be natural and confident
- Strong writing skills. Captions, scripts, and briefs should all feel easy to you
- Basic understanding of social analytics. You know what a reach vs. an impression is
- Detail-oriented and self-directed. You can manage your own deadlines in a remote environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
- Bonus Points
- Video editing skills. CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, anything works
- Experience with social scheduling tools (Later, Sprout Social, Buffer, etc.)
- Previous experience creating content for a brand, team, or gaming channel
- Familiarity with gaming culture, real-money gaming, or competitive/skill-based gaming
