Job Description

Software Developer building and supporting .NET applications for Republic Services, an environmental services company. Delivering integrations, Agile releases, and Tier 3 support for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex business and technical problems
  • Configure, code, test, and enhance custom, proprietary, or purchased software
  • Assist functional users, product owners, and IT Analysts with application software design and documentation
  • Enforce software development standards and assist less experienced developers
  • Conceptualize, prepare, and create detailed technical specifications
  • Write, test, analyze, and implement high-quality code based on User Stories and supporting documentation
  • Follow Company software development lifecycle policies using Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Research and define application system scope and objectives and recommend system designs and solutions
  • Provide Tier 3 support and resolve escalated IT issues
  • Maintain vendor relationships to resolve problems and coordinate IT product and service delivery
  • Support and validate production release activities
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing high quality software
  • Experience developing and supporting highly transactional, mission critical applications in multi-user environments/architectures
  • Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience with system integration, including middleware tools
  • Ability to design solutions that solve critical business problems and present solutions to business partners
  • Effective collaboration within an Agile environment
  • Expert knowledge of the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
  • Must be available to work during Arizona business hours
  • Position is not sponsorship eligible
