Job Description
Senior iOS Software Engineer building Netflix member experiences with Swift and GraphQL. Developing scalable discovery, playback, and advertising platform capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Drive innovation and deliver delightful experiences to Netflix members on the iOS app
- Build highly visible product experiences and robust, scalable solutions
- Build server-driven UI architecture and tooling for Netflix iOS, Android, and TV apps
- Develop schema, rendering, and data-access layers for Discovery, Playback, and Ads
- Build frameworks for interactive ad formats and server-side ad insertion
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to build performant and accessible experiences using Swift and GraphQL
- Develop maintainable code with automation and documentation
- Partner strategically with product management to scope projects
- Collaborate with designers to refine UI specifications
- Work with engineering teams on shared infrastructure
- Inform software designs through business, product, and architectural trade-offs
Requirements:
- Senior Software Engineer experience
- Experience building consumer-facing iOS experiences
- Swift proficiency
- GraphQL experience for data access
- Ability to develop maintainable, robust code
- Effective automation and documentation skills
- Ability to make business, product, and architectural trade-offs
- Proactive opportunity identification and feedback-seeking
- Thoughtful, practical problem-solving that avoids over-engineering
