Job Description
Software Engineer building backend APIs and authentication systems for Twilio’s Stytch identity platform. Delivering secure developer experiences and resilient, customer-facing identity products at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Build backend product capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform on Twilio
- Ship new API surfaces and core authentication flows, including agentic and non-human identity use cases
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and translate customer needs into product capabilities
- Deliver high-impact roadmap features
- Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture and platform integration
- Author design documents and drive key technical decisions
- Review code and maintain ownership of shipped systems
- Break down complex problems, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and design developer experiences
- Improve production quality and resilience through observability, incident response, and remediation
- Mentor and support engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in designing, building and operating high-scale, mission critical cloud based production systems
- Familiarity with a production-grade code base in a modern programming language
- Best practice coding standards and writing high quality code
- Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience
- Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours
- Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, and DynamoDB
- Experience building developer tools or SDKs
- Experience building and owning products consumed by paying customers
