Job Description

Advanced Software Engineer building .NET, AWS, and data-driven applications for Agilent’s scientific instruments and laboratory systems. Developing APIs, analytics, ETL pipelines, and scalable enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET Core/.NET Framework and AWS services
  • Build scalable and secure APIs, backend services, and data-driven applications
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Analyze, process, and manage large and complex datasets from multiple data sources
  • Design and implement data models, ETL processes, and integrations
  • Leverage modern data platforms and analytics solutions to generate actionable business insights
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-native development practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, data issues, and production incidents

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core
  • Strong experience designing and developing data-centric applications
  • Experience with enterprise databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Hands-on experience with ETL and data integration tools such as SSIS, AWS Glue, or similar technologies
  • Experience building and maintaining reporting solutions using SSRS, Power BI, QuickSight, or comparable analytics platforms
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, and cloud-based data solutions
  • Proficiency with modern web development frameworks
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented design, and best practices
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Preferred: experience with microservices architecture and domain-driven design
  • Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Preferred: experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Preferred: experience with NGRX, RxJS, NX, and Micro-Frontend architectures
  • Preferred: exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics, or AI-driven solutions
  • Preferred: familiarity with Ruby on Rails
  • Preferred: experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
