Job Description
Solutions Architect enhancing insurance technology platform at Bestow. Collaborating on product strategy and ensuring technical feasibility of life insurance solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Validate business and technical requirements for platform solutions in close collaboration with actuaries, engineers, and product managers
- Design and architect solutions that accommodate the full spectrum of life insurance and annuities products—from term life to complex cash value, variable, and indexed products with riders
- Serve as the go-to expert on life insurance product structures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet the needs of modern insurers while supporting legacy product portfolios
- Translate complex insurance requirements into clear, actionable guidance that engineering teams can build against
- Help shape product strategy by identifying opportunities and risks based on your deep understanding of carrier needs and legacy system constraints
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in life insurance and annuities, with deep knowledge of product structures, administration, and operations
- Extensive experience with complex life insurance products, including cash value, variable, indexed, and universal life, as well as various riders
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in life insurance
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and actionable guidance for engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be located in the United States
- Strongly Preferred: Prior experience building or implementing life insurance policy administration systems (e.g., FAST, DXC, Sapiens, OIPA, ALIP, etc.) at a core systems provider or systems integrator
- Hands-on proficiency with configuring and implementing insurance administration platforms
