Job Description
Email and SMS marketing coordinator driving sports facility bookings and pickup-game participation for a recreation operator. Managing campaigns, sales follow-up and remote game coordination across Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, write, build and send email and SMS campaigns promoting facility time, pickup games, registration opportunities and offers
- Segment audiences by location, sport, interest, booking history and engagement
- Build and improve welcome, lead follow-up, incomplete-booking recovery, reminder, repeat-booking and win-back flows
- Write English copy and adapt brand assets into mobile-friendly emails
- Check audiences, dates, time zones, prices, links, personalization and suppression rules before launch
- Monitor delivery failures, bounces, complaints and opt-outs; maintain consent records and healthy lists
- Test messaging, timing, offers and customer journeys; report enquiries, bookings, repeat participation, revenue and engagement metrics
- Maintain accurate facility availability, dates, time slots, capacity and pricing
- Respond to sports-space enquiries, recommend availability, prepare approved quotes and follow through to payment
- Maintain the sales pipeline, document commitments and pursue renewals or repeat bookings
- Coordinate with operations before promising availability and escalate issues outside authority
- Create and maintain pickup-game listings
- Monitor registrations and fill levels using targeted outreach
- Coordinate with hosts and venue contacts
- Manage player questions and waitlists
- Identify low-enrolment games, host gaps and venue problems and escalate cancellation, refund or safety decisions
- Track attendance, feedback and repeat participation to improve future games
Requirements:
- Practical experience building email campaigns and automations
- Hands-on SMS marketing experience
- Strong written and spoken English for North American customer conversations
- Confidence following up with leads, explaining offers and asking for bookings
- Strong attention to detail with schedules, prices, customer records and competing deadlines
- Experience with a CRM and an email/SMS platform, such as Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Mailchimp or comparable tools
- Comfort using spreadsheets and reports to understand conversion, bookings and campaign performance
- Dependable communication and willingness to own the next action until an issue is resolved
- Availability to work evenings and weekends in Toronto/Eastern time
- Experience in sports, venue bookings, inside sales, event coordination, customer service or ecommerce retention is helpful
- Completion of the Culture Index survey
- Completion of the Criteria GAME assessment — English
