Job Description
Staff Product Designer shaping high-impact rent-payment experiences at Flex, a growth-stage fintech. Defining design strategy, prototypes, standards, and user-centered product direction.
Responsibilities:
- Define and articulate design vision for Flex's most critical and complex product initiatives
- Establish a north star for the consumer experience and drive cross-functional alignment
- Influence product strategy and roadmap through design work and perspective
- Track UX trends and bring relevant insights into Flex
- Own the end-to-end design process for flagship initiatives, from research and ideation through refinement, prototyping, and final execution
- Maintain a high bar for craft across interaction patterns and the design system
- Build detailed prototypes to illuminate the future product and support decision-making
- Use AI across the design lifecycle for exploration, prototyping, and front-end workflows
- Partner with design leadership, product, and engineering on complex, cross-cutting product areas
- Collaborate with designers to ensure consumer-experience alignment and consistency
- Advocate for design thinking and user-centered principles across the company, including executive leadership
- Establish and evolve design standards, processes, and patterns
- Provide mentorship and craft feedback to designers
- Contribute foundational elements and set standards for design-system evolution
Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record as a senior individual contributor on complex consumer products
- Deep expertise in UX/UI design
- Strong experience showcasing shipped work at significant scope and quality
- Ability and demonstrated experience to operate at the product-strategy level
- Exceptional execution skills and high attention to detail in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with product, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership
- Proficiency in modern design tooling
- Fluency with front-end development
- Comfort using AI tools for research, exploration, prototyping, and workflow improvement
