  • Build the orchestration layer for ingestion, inference, and downstream daily jobs
  • Ensure jobs run in the correct order, gate on ready inputs, and recover cleanly from upstream delays
  • Build observability and alerting for pipeline health, data freshness, and recommendation drift
  • Work across Python, Terraform, and Ruby/Ruby on Rails
  • Establish standards and review practices for AI-assisted engineering
  • Operate production systems end to end, including alarms, backfills, runbooks, and migrations
  • Improve code quality through reviews and raise engineering standards

Requirements:

  • Fluency in analytical SQL and data modeling
  • Experience building and debugging multi-stage warehouse pipelines on Redshift
  • Experience reconciling messy source data into trustworthy datasets

  • Ability to own changes across a large Ruby on Rails codebase
  • Deep AWS experience with Lambda, S3, SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, Redshift, and IAM
  • Experience keeping production ML models serving correctly over time, including versioning, dependency drift, feature plumbing, and explainability
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with shifting priorities and expected ownership
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
