Job Description
Supply Chain Performance Engineer ensuring supplier quality performance through PPAP submissions and collaboration with global suppliers. Supports audits and process changes in manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Supports supplier quality performance by reviewing, validating, and managing PPAP submissions to ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Collaborates with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive quality, resolve issues, and support successful product launches.
- Reviews PPAP submissions for completeness and compliance with AIAG and customer requirements.
- Validates dimensional data, control plans, FMEAs, material certifications, testing, and MSA results.
- Coordinates with suppliers to resolve documentation gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Tracks PPAP status and escalates risks or delays.
- Prepares Part Submission Warrants and approval documentation.
- Maintains accurate PPAP records and revision control.
- Supports audits, launch readiness, and design/process changes.
- Reviews capability studies, Gage R&R, and process validation data.
- Manages interim approvals and supplier resubmissions.
- Initiates and supports supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and root cause analysis.
- Provides in plant supplier quality support where needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with five (5) or more years in quality, supplier quality, or PPAP coordination.
- Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience reviewing dimensional reports, certifications, and validation documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality/document management systems.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (Preferred).
- Certifications in quality or AIAG Core Tools (Preferred).
- Experience with QMS systems, supplier portals, or PPAP platforms (Preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 (Preferred).
- Experience with statistical analysis and process capability (Preferred).
- Background in manufacturing or supplier quality environments (Preferred).
