Job Description

Supply Chain Planner managing the flow of goods from purchase order creation to delivery at Mercana. Collaborating with factories and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely logistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for an end-to-end portion of Mercana’s supply chain.
  • Manages the flow of goods from purchase order creation through to timely production, container planning, and warehouse allocations.
  • Ensure that all documentation aligns with company and vendor records.
  • Focused on a region of factories, works closely with in-country teams and Canadian stakeholders.
  • Utilize Mercana systems to generate purchase requirements and create Purchase orders for each vendor.
  • Track production progress, identify issues early, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Analyze inventory levels and execute weekly zone-to-zone transfers to ensure optimal inventory distribution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience inventory management, container planning, warehouse allocation, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams, regions and functions.
  • Managing multiple factories and timelines end-to-end.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other supply chain management software tools.
