Job Description
Supply Planner handling purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory planning across product lines. Ensuring materials and finished goods availability to meet production and customer demand.
Responsibilities:
- Support day‑to‑day purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory planning across product lines.
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for packaging and finished goods.
- Track open POs and follow up with suppliers to confirm ship dates, resolve delays, and expedite when needed.
- Maintain accurate lead times, MOQs, and cost data to support planning and budgeting.
- Reconcile discrepancies between POs, item receipts, and vendor invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and consumption to ensure adequate supply for production and customer demand.
- Identify potential stockouts, delays, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, packaging vendors, and co‑manufacturers to confirm availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate inbound shipment details with logistics and warehouse teams.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or operations—ideally within CPG.
- Strong understanding of component lead times, packaging complexity, and co‑manufacturing workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail and comfort managing large volumes of data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for planning and reporting.
- Experience with 3PLs, freight partners, or co‑manufacturers is a plus.
- NetSuite experience is highly desirable but not a deal breaker.
