Job Description
Supporting Greystar’s Sustainability team in data projects and programs. Managing data integrity processes and PowerBI dashboards for sustainability reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Support Greystar’s Sustainability team in all data related projects and programs.
- Maintain Greystar’s energy, water, and GHG data integrity processes through data architecture and stakeholder collaboration.
- Manage internal PowerBI dashboards, API integrations, data infrastructure, Scope 3 data, and coordinate with internal data teams to ensure report alignment with Greystar report standards.
- Coordinate data quality improvement processes with Greystar’s team in India.
- Assist in client requests, sit in client meetings, manage follow up deliverables, and leverage AI to help project manage client requests.
- Manage sustainability data management systems to ensure accurate, timely, and complete data to inform business decisions.
- Create and maintain PowerBI reports that showcase energy, water, and carbon consumption and opportunities for reduction.
- Verify, analyze, and report on sustainability data on a regular basis to identify strategic opportunities to improve data quality through multiple stakeholders.
- Lead Greystar’s Scope 3 data management in coordination with an approved vendor for client reporting needs.
- Stay tuned in with embodied carbon and LCA provider offerings available for multifamily real estate.
- Support the Director of Sustainability and Senior Manager of Compliance with projects as needed.
- Assist with project management for client requests with special attention to Q1 and Q2 for GRESB reporting season.
- Help support ongoing operator questions on Greystar’s Sustainability program offering by monitoring Greystar’s sustainability inbox.
- Lead Greystar’s Sustainability Team in AI optimizations for process and program efficiencies.
- Serve as Greystar’s Point of Contact for internal record keeping maintenance in Salesforce.
- Assist with creating presentations to educate internal and external stakeholders on Greystar’s Sustainability program offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related fields.
- 0-3 years of professional experience in sustainability, environmental sciences, or reporting functions.
- Accuracy and attention to detail and strong creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products, word processing, excel, database management, and PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Power Automate.
- AI for data analysis and visualization to complete required reports and documents.
- Carbon accounting for Scope 1/2/3 in large datasets in accordance with GHG Protocol and CA Scope 3 legislation.
- Ability to lead data architecture, maintain BI reports, identify and troubleshoot data visualization errors, and help train operators on report utilization.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders within and outside the organization.
- Ability to provide training and share leading best practices on sustainability processes and programs.
