Job Description
Technology Project Manager driving concurrent infrastructure, application, security, and enterprise initiatives. Delivering strategic technology projects for universities through an online education technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent, strategic technology projects across infrastructure, applications, security, and enterprise initiatives
- Build and actively manage project plans, schedules, and budgets using PMO-standard tools and templates
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and drive them to resolution
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to remove obstacles and maintain delivery pace
- Manage scope and change requests, evaluate trade-offs, and make recommendations
- Coordinate interdependent workstreams, functional teams, and vendors
- Provide evidence-based status updates for PMO governance and portfolio reviews
- Drive on-time, in-scope, and on-budget project delivery
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing technology projects in a fast-paced, high-growth, or high-change environment
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent, complex projects without losing momentum
- Track record of driving projects to resolution, not just tracking and reporting status
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, Asana, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including translating technical detail for varied audiences
- PMP, CSM, or other project/Agile certification preferred
- Experience with formal PMO governance preferred
- Familiarity with technology infrastructure, application delivery, or security projects preferred
- Experience in EdTech, higher education, or another complex, highly regulated industry preferred
