Job Description
Technical Delivery Manager coordinating Medicaid data pipelines and monthly CMS reporting for For People’s government digital services team. Translating policy and technical needs into prioritized delivery plans.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate problem-framing exercises, gather assumptions, and explore options for ad-hoc Medicaid data requests
- Own and maintain the product roadmap with stakeholder input
- Run roadmap reviews to keep partners aligned
- Translate policy and technical inputs into requirements, acceptance criteria, and decision memos
- Scope and prioritize work with the data science and data engineering team
- Build working fluency in the team’s Python and SQL data pipeline to shape actionable requirements
- Maintain shared delivery expectations across partner teams and reduce communication and handoff gaps
- Own the risk register and document decision points and tradeoffs
- Own reporting readiness and delivery for monthly CMS reports, including clearance and sign-off
- Prepare and deliver leadership-ready summaries of complex work
- Work with policy, technical, data science, data engineering, and government partner stakeholders
Requirements:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in delivery, product management, or discovery roles on technical or data-heavy programs
- Experience owning product priorities or a roadmap, including saying no and explaining why
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and ability to support planning ceremonies
- Comfort reading and reasoning about data pipeline work in Python and SQL
- Government experience; state or federal health agency experience preferred
- Comfort working with high-profile government partners and high-stakes, high-visibility programs
- Comfort switching between strategic big-picture work and detailed execution
- Strong synthesis and written communication skills for requirements, decision memos, risk summaries, and leadership briefings
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and create clarity
- Awareness of government pace, including over-communication, anticipating roadblocks, documenting, and following through
- Comfort partnering with a strong leadership team and navigating responsibility overlaps and gaps
- Must perform all work physically within the United States
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be able to pass a public trust background check
- Preferred: experience with CMS or other federal health agency programs and systems
- Preferred: familiarity with Medicaid data or other large-scale health data
- Preferred: experience navigating stakeholder approval and formal clearance pathways
