Job Description

Technical Marketing Manager at New Relic building stories for an observability platform. Develop applications and produce technical content to support marketing and sales efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop small-scale, bespoke applications (Python, Node, Go, etc.) to showcase specific New Relic features
  • Contribute to public GitHub repository ensuring compliance with "One-Line Install" standard
  • Proactively use AI coding assistants to prototype application logic
  • Produce high-quality technical content (videos, decks, ebooks, whitepapers, demo scripts)
  • Work closely with product management and marketing teams to align technical artifacts with product messaging

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical role (TMM, Solutions Architecture, or Developer Advocacy)
  • Applied Observability Expertise: Deep understanding of observability principles (metrics, events, logs, and traces)
  • Experience using platforms like New Relic, Datadog, or Dynatrace
  • The "Vibe Coder" Skillset: Ability to read, write, and debug code
  • Containerization Proficiency: Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose
  • Technical Storytelling: Ability to take a technical feature and turn it into a compelling story
  • Self-Directed Problem Solving & Resourcefulness: High degree of autonomy in facing the unknowns
