Job Description

Technical Project Manager delivering infrastructure, Azure, and Microsoft 365 transformations for MSP clients. Managing technical delivery, stakeholders, vendors, risks, and continuous-improvement processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver infrastructure, cloud, and transformation projects from planning through completion
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and client expectations
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear project plans
  • Advise sales on technical delivery requirements, risks, and scheduling during presales
  • Review proposed solutions for feasibility and alignment with client expectations
  • Plan customer projects, including timescales, contingencies, risks, resources, and deliverables
  • Act as the primary client contact throughout the technical delivery lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, vendors, and external partners to deliver project tasks on time, within scope, and to technical and cost standards
  • Manage technical, logistical, and commercial changes and exceptions
  • Provide regular project status, technical progress, and risk updates
  • Apply agile principles and adapt plans to changing client needs and technical constraints
  • Provide technical oversight and accountability for project success
  • Understand technical discussions and contribute to design decisions
  • Create and improve project planning templates, guidance, processes, and tools
  • Leverage automation to improve project delivery efficiency and reliability
  • Serve as a client-facing, embedded resource for internal or third-party projects
  • Provide strategic input and technical oversight for client-led initiatives
  • Bridge client stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate delivery and issue resolution
  • Maintain knowledge of company procedures and comply with the Employee handbook
  • Work collaboratively, participate in company-wide initiatives, and undertake other reasonable duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, or Agile
  • Technical certification such as Microsoft, Azure, or Cisco
  • At least 5 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience with on-premises or cloud infrastructure refresh projects
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations or mergers
  • Experience with Azure migrations or transformation projects
  • Experience with infrastructure, file, and user migration outsourcing projects
  • Experience with backup and storage projects
  • Experience working with SME customers
  • Experience managing projects across various industries using Waterfall, Agile, and/or Hybrid methodologies
  • Experience delivering infrastructure migrations, cloud implementations, or SaaS implementations
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure and cloud environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills
  • Agile mindset with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lead others, build professional networks, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and ability to design and implement effective processes
  • Strategic thinking and research skills are a plus
