Job Description
Technical Project Manager at Yempo responsible for bridging technical execution and project management. Overseeing project delivery from concept to completion including documentation, design, and team coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and oversee technical solutions for projects and service delivery requirements, including technology stack and implementation decisions.
- Remain actively involved in development activities, code reviews, troubleshooting, and maintaining development standards.
- Develop project plans, delivery timelines, estimations, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinate across design, QA, engineering, and stakeholder teams to manage expectations, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Track project progress, identify blockers proactively, and implement solutions to maintain momentum and delivery timelines.
- Manage scope changes and communicate technical and business trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed documentation of technical decisions, workflows, processes, and project learnings.
- Adapt communication style effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, contribute to a positive workplace culture, and support overall business goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, project management, product management, or a similar hybrid technical leadership role.
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to participate in technical discussions and make informed architectural decisions.
- Experience leading projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing timelines and deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic planning and stakeholder management.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Passion for delivering high-quality solutions while balancing pragmatism, timelines, and business objectives.
