Job Description
Technical Project Manager leading complex project delivery for a consulting firm in utilities and energy sectors. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Define & manage project scope, objectives, deliverables and develop project plans
- Develop detailed project charters, work breakdown structures, and execution plans
- Manage cross-functional delivery teams including solution architects, developers, analysts, testers, and change managers
- Apply structured methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to manage timelines, risk, quality, and dependencies
- Mentor and manage a team of consultants and specialists
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, manage conflicts and resolve issues
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, and change requests
- Manage budgets, forecasts, resource allocations, and vendor contracts
- Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, feedback loops, and project retrospectives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management
- Significant focus on the utilities, energy, telecom, or oil & gas industries
- Experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Proven track record of leading and delivering on complex international projects
- Strong understanding of utility operations, asset management, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to travel to client site (domestic and/or international) as required
