Job Description
Technical Trainer providing HVAC/R training through various methods and managing course material. Working with teams to ensure effective learning and staying current with industry technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver all curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats
- Conduct standard and custom classes per customer requirements
- Follow good pedagogy practices for teaching adults
- Coordinate the development of course material to cover learning objectives ; adjust learning objectives accordingly
- Evaluate training material for improvements
- Continue self-study to understand all technologies that are part of the curricula
- Participate in engineering and product planning sessions
- Participate in industry related forums to ensure accuracy of technical information
- Train and mentor training specialists
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience as an HVACR technician, wholesaler, educator or equivalent HVACR industry role
- Experience with Residential controls and components
- Ability to travel 60-70%
- Ability to present to groups and facilitate learning programs
- Skilled in providing customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing
- Proficient in technology - Microsoft Suite of Products; PC's, Mobile Devices
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
