Job Description

Vehicle Support Engineer supporting INEOS Grenadier aftersales, diagnostics, repairs, and customer satisfaction. Improving retailer, fleet, supplier, and technical-service capabilities across the western region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day vehicle support from a Technical Service Engineering perspective, with vehicle uptime as a key focus
  • Work with the Regional Team, INEOS Grenadier Retailers, regional customers, and Global Technical Team
  • Ensure customers remain central to support activities and maintain customer brand confidence
  • Implement processes and structures across Aftersales, Technical Service Engineering, and wider INEOS Automotive teams
  • Visit retailers and customers in the field and support regional press and special events
  • Visit the INEOS plant when required and develop relationships with the assembly plant in Hambach
  • Analyze root-cause issues to improve quality and reduce claims and repairs
  • Liaise with the head-office technical team to identify vehicle and customer-experience risks and improvements
  • Provide alternative customer support where network coverage is unavailable and recommend solutions for network shortages
  • Assist workshops with efficient repairs using a “fix once, fix first” approach
  • Contribute to team meetings, operational reviews, critiques, and continuous performance improvement
  • Work with the Call Centre to ensure post-repair customer contact and satisfaction
  • Support non-INEOS repairers, fleet managers, fleet operators, and fleet customers
  • Address technical, parts, and warranty process issues with Aftersales and the wider business
  • Review technical publications, training materials, support documents, and packages for improvement opportunities
  • Review diagnostic equipment, technical reports, operational equipment, and tooling systems
  • Help develop vehicle product requirements from concept and design stages based on customer concerns
  • Participate in short- and long-term service-fix development and ensure root causes are corrected through permanent engineering actions
  • Liaise with suppliers to improve customer service and achieve rapid repair solutions

Requirements:

  • Significant 8–10 years of Aftersales and Technical Service Engineering business experience, including vehicle manufacturer or wider motor-trade experience
  • Recognisable technical qualification or equivalent experience
  • Broad experience across Automotive Technical Service Engineering and Aftersales disciplines
  • Automotive aftersales background preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and analysis skills
  • Ability to use, understand, and develop technical and aftersales tools, diagnostic equipment, and strategies
  • Strong drive for continuous improvement and a Kaizen mentality
  • Ability to work in office- and field-based teams with a customer-focused repair and service-excellence approach
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills across departments and functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Essential IT skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned region
