Job Description

Equipment finance VP developing direct middle-market and corporate client relationships for an independent lender. Structuring loans and leases from prospecting through funding.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new equipment finance business directly with middle-market, large corporate, private equity-sponsored, and other commercial clients
  • Build and manage an active pipeline through targeted prospecting, referrals, existing industry relationships, and strategic business-development initiatives
  • Establish relationships with CFOs, treasurers, controllers, procurement leaders, operating executives, private equity sponsors, and other senior decision-makers
  • Identify capital expenditures, technology investments, facility expansions, automation projects, and equipment replacement requirements
  • Structure equipment loans, leases, and customized financing solutions
  • Prepare and present financing proposals covering structure, pricing, and client value
  • Collaborate with credit, operations, documentation, asset management, and senior leadership from opportunity through funding
  • Gather financial, operational, and transaction information for credit presentations
  • Maintain ownership of client relationships and communicate with stakeholders throughout transactions
  • Expand existing relationships across equipment categories, locations, business units, and financing requirements
  • Maintain pipeline reporting, production forecasts, calling activity, and account-development plans
  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and business-development activities

Requirements:

  • Established experience originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users
  • At least five years of experience originating equipment finance transactions directly with commercial end users
  • Ability to independently generate new business and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Existing relationships with middle-market companies, larger corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, or senior financial decision-makers
  • Proven record of producing meaningful annual equipment finance volume
  • Personally originated and funded at least $20 million in equipment finance volume during any one of the past three years
  • Strong understanding of equipment loans, finance leases, tax leases, and other commercial financing structures
  • Ability to evaluate financial statements and understand cash flow, leverage, liquidity, collateral, and the business purpose behind a transaction
  • Experience structuring and presenting transactions to credit and senior management
  • Ability to sell consultatively and communicate value beyond pricing alone
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, judgment, and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for client development and relationship management
