Job Description
Virtual special education teacher delivering Connecticut-certified instruction through Fullmind's live-streamed education partnerships. Selecting placements, teaching curricula, developing lessons, and tracking student progress remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Access the educator portal to select available jobs
- Teach the school's curriculum on the district's virtual platform
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum
- Foster creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment
- Engage and nurture student learning through relationship-focused strategies
- Track student grades and performance
- Attend district professional development sessions and faculty meetings
- Partner with the in-class facilitator physically present with students
Requirements:
- Valid, active USA state-issued Students with Disabilities Connecticut Teacher Certification
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access
- Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration
- Submit a background check as part of the application process
- Prior online teaching experience is a plus
