Job Description

VP selling Bionews’ Brio subscription research platform to pharma and biotech clients. Building launch pipeline, closing subscriptions, and expanding patient-insights engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and close new business across Bionews' Insights portfolio, primarily selling Brio to pharma and biotech clients
  • Own the go-to-market motion for Brio as a net-new subscription product
  • Identify and prioritize target pharma and biotech accounts for the fall 2026 launch
  • Conduct discovery calls, platform demos, and proposal development
  • Manage the full sales cycle from outreach through contract signature and onboarding handoff
  • Partner with Product and Marketing on pricing, packaging, positioning, and launch refinement
  • Sell custom market research, patient advisory panels, surveys, and syndicated data
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline to meet revenue targets
  • Identify bundling opportunities with broader Bionews pharma partnerships
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce opportunity, activity, and forecast records
  • Provide weekly and monthly forecasts to Commercial Leadership
  • Own client relationships from initial conversation through renewal
  • Incorporate the patient voice into client pitches and conversations
  • Track competitive intelligence and represent Bionews Insights and Brio at industry events
  • Deliver pipeline reviews, business reviews, revenue targets, and annual territory and pricing planning

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in pharma market research, insights, life sciences data, or SaaS platform sales
  • Experience selling into medical affairs, market research/insights, or brand teams
  • Track record of operating at a senior, executive-facing level
  • Demonstrated understanding of how pharma and biotech companies evaluate and procure market research and patient insights solutions
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong pipeline and forecast discipline
  • Comfort and creativity selling a new subscription-based platform into a market with entrenched vendors
  • Ability to shape product positioning as it evolves
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to run compelling platform demos and executive-level conversations
  • Genuine interest in and alignment with the rare disease community and Bionews' patient-centered mission (preferred)
