Job Description

VP leading Vizient’s integrated healthcare supply-chain delivery across complex health systems. Orchestrating transformation, operational results, executive partnerships, and scalable commercial growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior leader accountable for performance, execution, and client value delivery across assigned client engagements
  • Build and maintain executive-level client relationships as a trusted advisor on supply chain transformation and performance improvement
  • Align client stakeholders, on-site teams, and Vizient functional leaders around a unified operating model
  • Shape long-term supply chain strategies and transformation roadmaps with client leadership
  • Lead integrated supply chain delivery across sourcing, value analysis, analytics, inventory, and operations
  • Translate enterprise and client strategy into measurable integrated operating plans
  • Drive savings initiatives, operational improvements, and transformation efforts
  • Ensure coordinated execution across National Centers and between on-site and centralized teams
  • Identify risks, remove barriers, and lead structured problem-solving
  • Lead process redesign, standardization, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Support implementation of tools, technologies, and capabilities that improve scalability and client outcomes
  • Establish governance structures, decision rights, escalation pathways, and accountability frameworks
  • Define and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and management routines
  • Identify expansion opportunities, deepen client partnerships, and increase engagement value
  • Align delivery with revenue growth and margin optimization
  • Support business development through executive engagement and solution shaping
  • Develop scalable solutions and offerings for multiple clients
  • Drive alignment and results without direct authority across matrixed stakeholders
  • Guide teams through change and provide performance guidance and professional-growth feedback
  • Balance enterprise standards with client-specific needs
  • Partner with National Center leadership to deploy expertise at scale

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced degree desired
  • 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain, hospital operations, consulting, or related fields required
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-site environments and large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated success operating within highly matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable financial and operational results
  • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders in health systems or similarly complex organizations
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables
