Job Description
SEL Coach leading live online group sessions for youth ages 4–16. Building emotional regulation, confidence, and peer connection for tapouts’ child-development mission.
Responsibilities:
- Lead live online SEL group sessions for youth ages 4-16 years
- Deliver structured social-emotional learning activities and games that build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills
- Build positive relationships with participants and foster an inclusive, emotionally safe group space
- Manage group dynamics and respond calmly to behavioral or emotional disruptions during live sessions
- Monitor and assess individual and group progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (Mandatory)
- Master's degree (preferred)
- SEL, coaching, or mental-health-specific certification is strongly preferred (e.g., ICF, IPEC, PPS Credential, CASEL, Mental Health First Aid)
- Experience designing or leading structured group sessions or programs for children (5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience delivering structured programming in a virtual/remote group format
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using Zoom and Google Suite as day-to-day coaching tools
- Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week during tapouts peak hours (1-8 pm PT) on weekdays and weekends (6am-8pm PT)
- A fast, reliable internet connection and a quiet working space
- Required to complete a short video interview; applications cannot move forward without it
