Job Description

Account Manager III at Thermo Fisher Scientific increasing revenue and building lasting relationships with customers. Develop and implement strategic sales plans for scientific products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase revenue and build lasting relationships with customers while representing our comprehensive portfolio of scientific products and services
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans
  • Manage key account relationships
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling
  • Provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs while achieving sales targets
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to help customers advance their scientific goals through a combination of customer visits and virtual engagement

Requirements:

  • Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in bioprocessing, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, applications support, technical sales, account management, or related customer-facing roles
  • Knowledge of upstream and/or downstream bioprocessing workflows
  • Demonstrated success supporting customers in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory (from LA to San Diego)
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages beneficial
