Job Description
Accountant supporting day-to-day financial operations for Muvr's logistics services. Collaborating with Finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Prepare financial statements and reporting for leadership review
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance team
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and automation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Revenue teams on financial processes
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or related roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred Experience in startups, marketplaces, logistics, or service-based businesses
- Familiarity with revenue recognition and marketplace transaction accounting
- Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
