Job Description

Accounting Manager leading and developing a team of accounting professionals at Claro Enterprise Solutions. Responsible for accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and collaboration with finance leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage general accounting activities for multiple legal entities within a shared-services environment, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and related close processes.
  • Oversee and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting work products, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company policy.
  • Maintain responsibility for the general ledger structure, including chart of accounts, mappings, and validation rules within Oracle.
  • Prepare, review, and present end-of-month financial results, variance analysis, and supporting schedules to management and key stakeholders.
  • Perform and document technical accounting research; prepare U.S. GAAP-compliant accounting memoranda to support complex transactions and new accounting standards.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across all supported U.S. entities within the shared services model.
  • Support parent-company reporting and consolidation requirements, including end-of-month reporting to América Móvil.
  • Partner with Controllers and cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit) to streamline accounting processes, enhance financial reporting, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide timely financial data and insights to support management decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, ensuring complete documentation, timely responses, and process transparency.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including performance feedback, goal setting, and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field Required
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, Preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including:
  • 1-3 years in public accounting (Big 4 or large national firm preferred) Required
  • 1-3 years of people management or team-leader experience required
  • 1-3 years Experience with accounting software, such as Oracle Cloud or SAP Preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting multi-entity accounting environments and shared services models. Preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) (High proficiency)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) USA Upon Hire Required
