Job Description
ADHD Specialist providing virtual executive-function coaching for Texas Sports Academy, a K-12 school for elite student-athletes. Supporting academic progress through individualized routines, group sessions, and collaboration with guides, coaches, and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with students on time management, task initiation, planning, and self-monitoring
- Build individualized executive-function systems for students
- Meet regularly with assigned students over video to address academic challenges, build routines, and problem-solve
- Run focused small-group sessions on study skills, organization, and academic habits
- Collaborate with academic guides and athletic coaches to provide consistent support
- Send parents regular updates on strategies, progress, and areas of growth
- Involve parents early when support strategies are not working
- Help students set up and navigate learning platforms so the tools support their focus
Requirements:
- Direct experience supporting students with ADHD or executive function challenges, with specific examples of impact
- Experience building durable routines and systems and adapting strategies when needed
- Strong listening and communication skills, including explaining approaches to parents and staff in plain language
- Comfortable working in a competitive youth athletics environment
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, special education, or a related field
- Must be based in the U.S.
