Job Description

AI automation and data specialist building Power BI, Python, SQL, and AI workflow systems for a remote cloud-accounting firm. Improving dashboards, data governance, integrations, and payout processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards critical for daily management
  • Manage underlying data pipelines, Python scripts, SQL cron jobs, gateway refreshes, and related production systems
  • Own the monthly margin and quarterly profit share processes
  • Coordinate snapshots across time tracking, financials, and payroll
  • Clean data across multiple sources and validate DAX calculations against raw exports before payouts
  • Build and maintain AI and low-code automations across the company
  • Collaborate with teams to remove friction and improve workflows
  • Build integrations, HR agents, invoicing bots, and other solutions using Claude and other applications
  • Thoroughly document solutions and support teammates in understanding and using them
  • Report directly to leadership

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AI automations and data inside a B2B business
  • Power BI or equivalent expertise
  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards and production systems
  • Experience with data pipelines, Python scripts, SQL cron jobs, and gateway refresh chains
  • Understanding of database design and row-level security
  • Strong fluency in DAX, including nested multi-table logic
  • Comfort with Python and SQL
  • Experience maintaining and documenting data pipelines
  • Proven workflow automation experience with AI and low-code tools such as Claude, Zapier, and Make
  • Ability to learn and build advanced automation solutions
  • Advanced Excel skills, including structured tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, named ranges, data validation, pivot tables, and file/path discipline
  • Strong data governance skills
  • Basic accounting literacy, including chart of accounts, GL structure, and accounting basics, is preferred but not required
  • Builder mentality, excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, curiosity, resourcefulness, humility, and enthusiasm
