Job Description

Infectious Diseases pharmacist working with Nebraska Medicine's ASAP program. Collaborating on antimicrobial stewardship efforts alongside healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Pharmacist Program Coordinator, the ASAP Medical Directors, and the Nebraska DHHS Healthcare-Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance (HAI/AR) program on statewide antimicrobial stewardship efforts
  • Partner with physicians, nurses and other hospital staff to provide the best Serious Medicine and Extraordinary Care available in the region
  • Conduct public speaking and develop engaging educational content
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Engage in research and publication activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years clinical practice experience in the clinical specialty or an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year two residency in the specialty required
  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required
  • Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required
  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one or year two residency as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred
