Job Description
Leading a team of Technical Field Engineers in developing CRM education strategies at Medtronic. Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure educational and business objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Technical Field Engineers (TFEs) who deliver field-based training and strengthen technical expertise for sales representatives and clinical specialists — supporting both onboarding and ongoing development for new and experienced employees.
- Ensure TFEs achieve key milestones by educating customers and supporting business priorities, including product and procedural launches, complex training initiatives, and strategic business planning with leadership.
- Oversee and guide the successful launch of new technologies and procedures within the U.S. region and your area, ensuring educational and business objectives are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Sales, R&D, Clinical, and Training & Education to identify and address short- and long-term educational needs.
- Demonstrate program effectiveness through systematic evaluation and continuous improvement strategies.
- Partner with Field-Based Leadership to coordinate and execute strategies that achieve technical business objectives and support implant and revenue goals.
- Implement engaging field-based education programs for sales and clinical specialists to enhance CRM product and procedural knowledge, supporting the U.S. Sales organization in meeting its objectives.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent to ensure excellence in technical training and education, driving growth and delivering meaningful innovations to patients and customers.
- Foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and innovation within the technical field education team.
- Motivate, influence, and lead cross-functional teams to accomplish shared goals.
- Anticipate, identify, and resolve high-level execution issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of Sales Training, Medical Device Sales/Service, Adult Learning or Sales Program leadership experience (3 years with Advanced Degree)
- Experience in the field of electrophysiology
- Advanced Degree, ideally in Adult Education
- Previous experience leading a highly functioning field team
- Medtronic experience or other med-device, healthcare industry experience
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Experience in a healthcare related discipline
- Ability to learn and understand technical aspects of business
- Ability to manage, coach and develop employees
- Capable of critical/strategic thinking; ability to execute strategy
- Medtronic experience in role that interacts with CVG CV field organization and internal partners
