Job Description

Associate Director handling reputational risk and crisis preparedness for The Nature Conservancy. Supporting strategic communications and maintaining credibility with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • plays a critical role in supporting The Nature Conservancy’s reputational risk management and crisis preparedness efforts.
  • contributes to the development and implementation of strategic communications plans, provides counsel on sensitive issues, and manages writing, editing and project management work related to crisis communications preparedness and response.
  • helps the team navigate sensitive issues and maintain continuity during a time of global political and economic volatility.
  • help advance TNC’s reputation strategy and maintain credibility and trust with reporters at top-tier media outlets, high-value donors, policy decision makers, staff, and corporate partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 9 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing staff and teams.
  • Experience developing communications, media and engagement strategies and measuring results.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
  • Experience developing and leading complex projects or programs including financial responsibility and measuring results of strategic plans and programs.
