Job Description
Associate offensive security operator conducting OSINT, infrastructure testing, and vulnerability assessments for CovertSwarm. Developing technical independence while communicating threat-based findings to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out cybersecurity assessments against client environments across one or more testing domains
- Perform OSINT, reconnaissance, external infrastructure assessment, vulnerability discovery, and validation
- Apply manual and automated security testing techniques to identify exploitable weaknesses
- Take ownership of assigned assessment activities, escalating and seeking technical guidance where appropriate
- Produce timely, high-quality, actionable, threat-based findings through the custom reporting portal
- Clearly communicate technical findings, impact, and remediation to clients
- Support client debriefs following assessments
- Act as a technical contact for clients and foster stakeholder relationships
- Maintain clear and professional client communication throughout engagements
- Collaborate with other Hive Members and share discoveries and knowledge
- Continuously develop technical capabilities across offensive security disciplines
- Take ownership of learning and development toward greater technical independence
Requirements:
- Demonstrable practical experience in one or more cybersecurity testing domains
- Foundations in network, infrastructure, and/or application security
- Practical experience using common offensive security tools and methodologies
- Ability to identify, investigate, validate, and clearly communicate security vulnerabilities
- Comfortable performing defined assessment activities with growing independence
- Methodical approach to technical problems and judgment about when to seek guidance
- Curiosity about how systems work and how they can be broken
- Motivation to broaden testing experience and deepen technical expertise
- Sharp analytical mind and attention to detail

- Relevant cybersecurity qualifications or equivalent practical capability; examples include CEH, CompTIA qualifications, and other cybersecurity, networking, or technical qualifications
- Practical offensive security certifications such as OSCP, CREST CRT, CSTM, CRTO, or other recognised certifications are of interest but not required
