Job Description
Supply planner developing 18-month production schedules and inventory strategies for Hershey’s confectionery business. Coordinating supply, capacity, materials flow, and cross-functional planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain planning system settings, calendars, and attributes to create a constrained rough-cut master schedule
- Build and manage feasible 18-month production schedules supporting sales goals, inventory targets, and product age objectives
- Coordinate product supply through exception management, capacity analysis, ACC feasibility input, and new item integration
- Manage finished goods/intermediate inventory targets, item versions, deployment settings, safety stock opportunities, and aged/unsalable risk
- Maintain accurate Kinaxis/SAP production/ATP information
- Support annual planning, analysis, and continuous improvement activities
- Execute end-to-end supply planning activities independently
- Optimize inventory and materials flow across assigned areas
- Own defined planning processes or small projects and ensure timely deliverables
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and other stakeholders
- Research non-routine planning problems and recommend actions using structured analysis
Requirements:
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Knowledge of supply planning systems
- SAP preferred
- Understanding of forecasting impact
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Teamwork and ability to mentor/train others
- Strong MS Office/PC skills
- 3+ years progressive related experience in production scheduling, inventory management/deployment, or supply/operations planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering, preferably emphasizing Logistics or Supply Chain Management
