Job Description
Associate Site Reliability Engineer maintaining service reliability and scalability through agile teamwork at Red Hat. Collaborating and resolving customer issues while contributing to code and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute code to increase the scalability and reliability of the service
- Contribute software tests and participate in peer review to increase the quality of our codebase
- Help and develop peers' capabilities through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration
- Participate in a regular on-call schedule, including occasional paid weekends and holidays
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
- Resolve customer issues escalated from the Red Hat Global Support team
- Work within a small agile team to develop and improve SRE software, support peers, plan and self-improve
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Working knowledge of building cloud resource providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Software engineering using Golang or python
- Containers and Kubernetes on Linux
- Microservices development and architecture
- Distributed source control systems with git/gitlab
