Job Description

Sales Director overseeing Bakery Machinery sales in North America for GEA Group, a leader in engineering solutions. Engaging with customers and driving long-term relationships while managing sales strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand each customer’s needs and goals
  • Act as the primary steward of customer experience
  • Engage directly with customers through hands-on selling
  • Nurture and grow customer relationships
  • Map the market with a customer-first lens
  • Guide and coordinate day-to-day sales activities
  • Champion customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Develop customer-aligned sales plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Maintain accurate and insightful CRM data
  • Represent Bakery & EFT Business Units in customer negotiations
  • Contribute to strategy, business development, and R&D efforts
  • Recruit, develop, and lead regional teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Bakery Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 7-10+ years' experience in Long-Cycle Sales, Business Development or Project Management
  • Experience working in the Bakery industry is HIGHLY preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of legal and commercial contracting
  • Fluent in English, preferably with a second language (French or Italian)
  • Ability to travel 50-75%
