Job Description
Bilingual Mortgage Fulfilment Officer at Manulife Bank verifying residential mortgage applications and preparing mortgage-related transactions. Collaborate with internal partners and ensure customer service standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- verification of documents of residential mortgage applications from new loan inception to instructions to lawyers and notaries
- preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions and documents
- Review documents submitted by the Mortgage Specialist to ensure the file is in good order and all conditions have been met
- Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions
- Address routine queries from internal partners
- Apply strong decision making and problem-solving skills to resolve situations
- Maintain strong accountability with respect to workload and responsiveness
- Contribute to and support the team in meeting urgent deadlines and unexpected increased volumes
- Create and maintain strong team collaborative working relationships with internal departments by providing excellent customer service
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and share ideas for improvements
Requirements:
- Fully bilingual (French/English)
- General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices an asset
- Sound knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Previous Banking experience is an asset
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and correctly interpret legal mortgage documents
- Team collaborative (strong Team player)
