Job Description

BMC Helix developer building workflows, integrations, and service solutions for GDIT, a government technology and professional services company. Supporting remote US mission projects through requirements, production support, Agile delivery, and customer demonstrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance on application and integration capabilities
  • Gather requirements and prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations
  • Write requirements, design documentation, implementation guides, and test scripts
  • Develop workflows and integrations in Developer Studio and Innovation Studio
  • Build forms, fields, workflow, and data import files for Foundation and Transactional Data
  • Develop REST API, WebService, and LDAP integrations between Helix and external systems
  • Develop Digital Workplace service offerings
  • Work incident assignments and communicate with customers within service-level agreements
  • Create follow-on change requests and Jira stories
  • Prepare and coordinate change requests and follow prescribed operating procedures
  • Maintain and update the production environment and meet KPI thresholds
  • Support customer onboarding, ad hoc requests, sustainment, and continual service improvement initiatives
  • Identify gaps between out-of-the-box workflows and custom requirements
  • Provide out-of-the-box solutions to minimize customization
  • Maintain system integrity through configuration control and change management processes
  • Manage sprint workload, forecast deliverables and deadlines, execute milestones, minimize technical debt, and demonstrate completed sprint products
  • Communicate professionally with customers, peers, and leadership
  • Participate in on-call rotation, daily scrums, sprint planning, technical implementation reviews, approved service interruption windows, and other requests
  • Work in a remote team environment with scheduled and ad hoc video/audio meetings

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance before start date
  • US citizenship required
  • BMC Accredited Administrator or commensurate Remedy/Helix Developer Studio experience
  • Experience with SaaS solutions or AWS Cloud environments
  • Experience with BMC Remedy version 23.x or higher
  • Experience with ITIL methodologies
  • Experience with Helix/Remedy application process flows
  • Expert familiarity with one or more 23.x+ Helix applications, including Incident Management, Remedy Knowledge Management, Change Management, Task Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Service Request Management, Work Order Management, Smart Reporting, Helix Dashboards, Smart IT, Digital Workplace Portal, CMDB, or Asset Management
  • Experience with Pentaho Spoon, BMC HDM, REST API, or WebServices for system interfaces or data migration
  • Experience working in an Agile project methodology environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Ability to create and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents
  • Advanced ability to analyze data with Microsoft Excel or comparable tools
  • Ability to create and describe process flows in Microsoft Visio or comparable tool
  • Experience managing documents in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of relational databases
  • Understanding of networking concepts and OSI rules
  • Ability to use logging to troubleshoot issues
  • Experience providing customer demonstrations
  • Experience gathering and documenting customer requirements
  • Experience working with multiple projects and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a remote location
  • Required CompTIA Security+ CE certification; may be obtained within 3 months from start date
  • BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Scheduled availability for 40 hours per week
  • No travel required
