Job Description

Bookkeeper maintaining accurate financial records and supporting accounting operations. Focus on full-cycle bookkeeping for growing businesses with a remote working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions
  • Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain documentation
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of financial records
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting files
  • Process vendor bills and manage payment schedules
  • Maintain vendor records and AP aging
  • Ensure invoices are accurate and properly approved
  • Issue customer invoices and track collections
  • Apply payments accurately
  • Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue balances
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Prepare basic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
  • Generate reports for internal review
  • Support payroll processing and recordkeeping
  • Organize documentation for tax preparation and compliance
  • Assist external accountants or CPAs as needed

Requirements:

  • 1–2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Full-cycle bookkeeping exposure (AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Experience working with US-based businesses or financial standards
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal English communication
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment**

  • Full-charge bookkeeping experience
  • Multi-entity or multi-currency exposure
  • Payroll or sales tax experience
  • Accounting or bookkeeping certifications
  • Experience supporting audits or tax filings**

  • Accounting software: QuickBooks Online or Xero
  • Spreadsheets: Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Communication tools: Gmail/Outlook, Slack, Zoom
