Job Description
Clinical Budget Analyst developing Excel-based oncology trial budgets for Sarah Cannon Research Institute. Negotiating sponsor pricing and presenting budget proposals to executive management.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret clinical trial protocols from a financial perspective
- Develop clinical trial budgets
- Create new budgets in Excel using Sarah Cannon cost and charge information
- Analyze clinical trial protocols and provide detailed counteroffers to Sponsors’ initial budgets
- Negotiate budgets with Sponsors/CROs to achieve favorable results for Sarah Cannon
- Establish and maintain business relationships for future negotiations
- Maintain and communicate status updates for assigned budgets to executive management
- Communicate with clinical staff, management, and others to clarify protocol specifics, standard of care, billable items, and other budget-related nuances
- Present budget proposals to executive management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- At least 1 year of work experience utilizing basic financial principles, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools
- At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas
- Familiarity with clinical research and/or medical terminology
- Functional knowledge of clinical trials preferred
- Analytical decision-making skills
- Project management capabilities
- Strong negotiation and professional communication skills
- Must be based in the US
- Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available
