Job Description
Business Analyst developing analytical insights for insurance data at Ledgebrook. Leading data-driven decision-making and enhancing business performance through analysis and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical efforts to drive data informed decision-making across the entire organization
- Gather, analyze, and visualize / present technical insurance data
- Collaborate with data engineering, insurance product, claims, and finance teams to improve data integrity and automate reporting capabilities
- Transform complex insurance data into clear, compelling insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders through required reporting and data visualization
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis, develop analytical tools, and identify opportunities to enhance business performance and operational effectiveness
- Provide ad hoc analytical support and research as needed to ensure Ledgebrook continues to operate with data-driven precision
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency with SQL (Snowflake, MySQL), Excel
- Exposure to or proficiency in modern data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g. Power BI, Python, R)
- Property & Casualty insurance data experience
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- Navigating a startup environment, fast paced and dealing with uncertainty
