Job Description
Chemical Engineer - Sales Manager responsible for expanding business in Austria and Eastern Europe. Focusing on customer relationship management and technical sales discussions related to coatings and adhesives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand business in Austria and Eastern Europe by acquiring new customers and maintaining existing relationships.
- Conduct technical sales discussions to identify customer requirements.
- Translate customer requirements into qualified projects.
- Build and actively manage a CRM-supported sales pipeline.
- Increase project-to-order conversion through disciplined opportunity management.
- Regular customer visits and virtual meetings, including preparation of visit reports.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related natural science.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales or in closely related roles.
- Experience in at least one of the following market segments: paints and coatings, construction chemicals, printing inks, adhesives, or sales of specialty additives.
- Practical experience marketing technical products, including customer training on correct application.
- Friendly and committed communication style, with negotiation skills across different hierarchy levels.
- Business-fluent English; knowledge of an Eastern European language is an advantage.
- Structured, self-motivated working style with strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel >50%, including multi-day trips abroad.
