Job Description

Chief of Staff driving strategy execution and supporting leadership at Nema Health. Engaging in high-priority initiatives and enhancing cross-functional communication for effective operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the C-suite to translate strategy into execution, driving progress on the company’s highest-priority initiatives and surfacing risks, tradeoffs, and insights
  • Act as a trusted thought partner and extension of executive leadership, stepping into gaps and taking ownership of high-impact work to increase leadership leverage
  • Drive coordination and clarity across teams by synthesizing complex work into clear plans, timelines, and updates that enable strong execution
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, structuring ambiguous problems and developing recommendations to support decision-making
  • Help establish and refine operating rhythms, processes, and lightweight systems that improve how the organization works as it scales
  • Continuously assess where you can add the greatest value, adapting responsibilities as company needs evolve and thoughtfully transition work to long-term owners over time

Requirements:

  • Finishing an MBA or are 1–2 years post-MBA, or equivalent advanced degree combined with exceptional business acumen
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or a similarly rigorous, problem-solving-focused environment
  • Have worked within healthcare and understand the system generally
  • Demonstrate unusually strong analytical and structured thinking skills
  • Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Bias toward action and accountability
  • Resourceful, persistent, and solutions-oriented
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with executives, clinicians, and operators
  • Can learn new tools and systems quickly (analytics platforms, CRMs, project management tools, healthcare workflows)
  • Do not accept “no” without understanding the constraints
  • Take ownership of outcomes — not just tasks
  • Motivated by impact, trajectory, and building something that truly matters.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare
  • 401(k) with matching
  • Stipends for work-from-home productivity and continued education
  • Generous PTO
  • Flexible work hours
  • Remote-first culture with supportive team norms
  • Inclusive, trauma-informed leadership
